Males have more red over the whole body, bigger and pointed fins, pointier heads, and potentially spangles on the caudal and anal fins.

I can't really see your avatar but the best way to sex most cichlid is venting. That's gives the best results.

Check the girth, generally females are a bit wider than males who tend to be thinner with pointed anal fins. Venting is the best option, and I'd also wait until it's about an inch or two larger.
