FIREMOUTH CICHLIDS???

Hey all


I have my 55 gallon tank ready to be stoked again with more fish. I did all of the test and everything is 0, nitrates, ammonia, etc. The PH in the tank is 7.0 even. I was thinking of adding 4 firemouths for my tank. I had 2 before and 1 of them disappeared and the other died of ick. My tank inhabitiants are:
1 Senegal Bichir
2 Banded Leporinus
2 Brown African Knifes
1 Striped Raphael Cat

Will this setup work? I was also thinking rainbow fish. Here is a pic

Can a green terror really work? I think they are beautiful fish but i never kept one before. Ive kept blue acras and they constanly fought eith my 2 blood parrots who recently passed away

yes but i would just get one.

firemouths would work it thats what you want...i most likly will never get one again...nomadicaly agressive...i hate that...

The way the tank is decorated I would go with one larger cichlid such as the green terror that has been mentioned. If you want to go with firemouths, I'd get 6 juveniles but you'll need to add some small rockwork to form caves for them.

Yea i like both green terrors and firemouths but ive been there and done that with firemouths, i might try a green terror. I like their color
