Firemouth few quick questions..

my firemouth cichlid is always hiding. i only have one. should i get another to maybe have him roam around the tank more?i just got him yesterday (he's been in 3 different tanks) so i dont know if this hiding is due to stress..

Why has it been in 3 tanks within a day?
Its due to stress of moving into places he hasnt seen before.

Is he kept with bigger aggressive fish? Tankmates?

no all fish of same size.
sudden problems with tanks... :\
my powerhead was making my fish all funny (giving burns similar to ammonia, which was 0), and i kept moving them to dif tanks (moving the powerhead too). then i realized the powerhead was doing it, took it out and now fish are fish.

give the fish less places to hide.

Firemouths are generaly shy fish at first esp after moving them around alot they need time to get use to there surroundings.I would also lower the lights this usualy helps bring them out more.
