i have a pair of green terrors i want to breed and a pair of firemouths. i put my male green terror in a 29 alone and my female green terror and pair of firemouths in a 40 breeder , i noticed one of my firemouth has been hanging around my green terror a lot i dont want them to cross breed wut should i do

Put the male and female GT together in the 40 and put the firemouths in the smaller tank. Very optomistic expecting the GTs to breed when they're in different tanks!

lol my gt weren't going to stay in separated but my female is still to young for my male . the male is 4.5" and the female is 2.5"

Besides, if they arent ready to breed, whats the worst that could happen? Just provide lots of hiding places for the female.
Here is a picture of my pair with eggs at a similar size.

those are nice and your female is a little bigger. i wish mine looked like that my male isnt big body wise he looks under feed and no matter wut i give him he only really eat enough to survive. imma put them together like u said maybe he will eat again lol i think he was depressed his girl wasnt with him. i didnt know she could breed at that size , i was told they both had to be about 3-4" in order to breed so i separated them
