Does anyone have any experience with keeping Firemouths in communities with larger Cichlids, such as Amphilophus or Vieja ? Could a few of them live with a breeding pair, in a 180 gallon ?
I'm sure we have all been through the "not knowing what we want" stage
I know i have ! I have re-housed quite a few fish with friends, that i thought i wanted and then decided i wanted something different in the past. I have recently aquired some Breidohri, that i have decided will not be leaving this house under any circumstances.
Depending on sex i'm not too sure whether to have a pair, or split them and have one in the 180 with maybe a xiloaensis or Midas, and the other single. Depending on aggression issues.
Either way i would like to have some smaller activity going on in the tank. I've been considering.
Firemouths, Convicts, Honduran Red Points, Sajica. Maybe a few Tinfoils or Silver Dollars, to name a few.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions on stocking, maybe some smaller fish that i haven't mentioned please let me know.
Thanks.
