I have a 75 gallon tank with three ca cichlid the male Salvini is about 3in the female firemouth is about 3 1/2in and the unsexed Jack Dempsey is about 2in they all had their own space and I know they will not all be able to share the tank for life was planning on moving the Salvini and firemouth out of the tank and into their own tanks when they got larger but now I think the Salvini and firemouth have paired up they dug a hole togethor in one of the caves and they’re both showing breeding colors what should I do? They aren’t attacking the Jack Dempsey at all they just chase him away from the cave but can they even produce babies?

Yes, they can produce babies. If you so choose raise some then mod move to hybrid section.

Salvini x firemouth? It very well could. I’ve seen salvini x thorichthys maculipinnis that looked really really good.
Would they be worth keeping because i don’t have the space for them would people take them or buy them?
