Firemouth sexing?

I think I bought a pair of firemouths, can somebody tell me if these are male and female?
The one I believe is a male is about 6" and the one I think is female is 4" but I'm not sure if they are the same age.

Got them and a 4.5" EBJD yesterday, and today the male FM has succeeded in bullying the EBJD to one corner. Every few minutes he'll come by and scare him, is this unhealthy? Will he kill my EBJD and is there a way to decrease the aggression? My tank is 6' long, 135 gallons, and there are only a few other little barbs and a small bichir in there so it's not an issue of space.
