Welcome aboard
Personally I would not add the Dwarf Gourami because if Gt and Firemouth already established territories then possible harm to the Dwarf Gourami.

Agree with tlindsey,
Dwarf Gourami are a slow moving peaceful fish and much more delicate in nature than a Gt or a firemouth.
If your gt is a male it could possibly grow large enough to eat a dwarf Gourami.
I know some people have had success in keeping various characins with some gt's. My experience of them is they will eat fish as large as a bleeding heart tetra.
Fish like hoplo catfish should make good tank mates.

If you were going to try this ... one of the larger, more aggressive gouramis would be a better choice. A snakeskin (size) or one of the two spot variants (blue, gold, opaline, ect).

If you want to do schooling fish, you should try some tall-bodied tetras. The smaller torpedo-shaped fish like the rasboras will become lunch, like stanzz said. Even the tall bodied could potentially be eaten by the GT when he is fully grown, but maybe not.
Colombian tetras are good tall bodied species.
