Firemouth x Texas pics

Found these at an lfs. The store manager imported Firemouths and was given a Texas which he put in the Fm tank. And after a few months they had paired up (Male FM and a Female Texas).
They spawned once and this is the result from it. I was thinking about getting some because I think they look very nice for their size, which is 1-2".
I guess it was my lucky day since I had my camera with me.
This is an interesting hybrid. Has anyone seen this hybrid before?

I'd say grab a few with the most pearls and red on 'em and grow them out. Like the middle one.

Do it! If you've got the tank space grab a few and show us what they grow into. Should be really cool.

I called the store today and spoke with an employee which said that they weren't going to sell them. I told him that they were not for breeding, just as a show fish. And he told me to call back tomorrow so I could speak to the manager. He will probably sell or give me a few. So I will definately make a thread about them. I'm actually kind of excited about this, since I have almost never kept hybrids.
