????
Are they aggressive ? Because i was thinking about getting a few to put with my clown knives and climbing perch.
And maybe add an Oscar?

so they would be ok with clown knives and climbing perch and possibly an oscar?

Firemouths just 'Flare n scare' just like barking dogs, and they successfully keep away most mid sized moderately aggressive cichlids this way, they dont indulge in serious fights though, atleats in my experience they have hardly injured any fish(even small characins). But if you keep them with large predatory fishes like big gars, bichirs, red tail catfishes(and alike), even large knife fish(exceeding 18"), jumbo cichlids, etc., then, most likely they'll disappear someday....

large clown knives would eat your firemouth. i had a clown knive that was 19 inches eating 6 inch creek chubs so in the short run its fine but in the long run no more firemouth.

the knife should eat the firemouth if the knife is an adult, that being said, firemouths are not aggressive, very much in the same level of blue acaras and rainbow cichlids.

Yeah, they aren't very aggressive but can hold their own. Plus they are fast. I have a pair and they fight a lot..But don't do any damage to each other.
