I have two male firemouths who are reaching their mature colors. They are getting darker and more colorful. However, one has green eyes, while the other has golden yellow. The firemouths I have kept before have all had green eyes. Is this normal? Is he just a doppelganger?
Also, I just lost one of my baby jurupari. He seemed pretty good this morning, and his brother is doing fine. They are in a clean growout tank with great water conditions. When I found him, he was stiff with his mouth fixed open like he was screaming. What do you think he died of?
