Firemouths in a 20 Gallon

How many Firemouths can live for their entire life in a standard 20 gallon tank.

Probably 1...just went to the lfs and they had some full grown FMs. They actually get bigger than I thought on height

i dont know ive seen some pretty huge adults. but we have one thats about 2-3 years old and hes still smallish. i would say one.

I had a Firemouth way back when, and it was 6 inches not even a year old yet......

None, they are too big for that size tank. You might be able to get away with one in a 30 gallon but it would not be a happy fish... You need to go with dwarf cichlids for tanks 30 gallons and smaller.

One for sure...a pair of you do a lot of water changes and provide a lot of hiding places.
