i am planning on breeding my firemouths what exactly do i need to have to make the process go smoothly as possible

in the tank are 5 giant danios, 3 firemouths, 2 common plecos

it is a 55 gal, pebbles on floor, driftwood and couple plants

honestly your setup is not breeder type material but heres why 55 gal is perfect for your firemouths knowing you have a sexed pair and your not dealing with 2 males fighting over your female. letting them pair up and remove the other fish would be best or they will beat the loner in my experience. next your plecos will eat the eggs at night while your fm's are sleeping i dont know 2 much about corys or giant danios but i would only expect them 2 be stress adders in terms of space and privacy to your breeding project ask yourself wich way you wanna go u can try to let things happen and see what works out. good luck

craze, i knew all that, i was asking more along the lines of onions response given the temp and general surroundings, foods, that kind of stuff, when i see them ready then i will remove the other
