Firemouths

At liveaquaria.com they say that firemouths need 30 gallons... So my question is can I put a firemouth, some tiger barbs and a clean up crew in my 35 gallon? (yeah I'm still looking at my options for that tank)

I think that would be fine as long as the firemouth doesn't munch on the tiger barbs. I doubt it will though. My cousin has a pair in a 55 with tiger barbs. But then again every fish is different. Good Luck with that though.

firemouth should be ok. as mentioned, its possible barbs might need to be replaced now and then depending on your fm temperament. discovered mine enjoyed eating danios during a brief stay in a community. left the corydoras alone though. good luck.

cories & oto cats, at least 6 tiger barbs.

FM barbs cleanup crew would be pushing it a bit in a tank that size
