The fins are just... wonderful :D Cant wait to see some pics, when hes 5 feet lol :D He must be like a butterfly as fullygrown.. One angry buttefly :D
 
Hey Sharptooth! Long time no see... here. Nice stuff on planiceps and the chaca. If you kept updating a few times a year, that'd be even more awesome as everyone wants to learn about long-term keeping stories, tips, etc.


Karl, I doubt there has ever been one grown over 3'-3.5' in captivity, not that I've seen anyway.

-- Either they don't grow larger,
-- or die before reaching their full wild potential,
-- or keepers stop reporting.

You know, kind of like with RTC (bearing in mind RTCs are 1000 times more common in the trade).

IDK how big Arapaimag's is now in his 200,000 liter. If it is alive, it should be pushing 4'. I hope he chimes in. Dim hope though. If you poked him via a PM, that'd be nice.
