a little less than 24 hours ago, I moved my 4 1" Red bellies into my tank. Before they were introduced, there were 3 golden Zebra Danio, 1 pleco, and then 7 assorted danio. As I'm only in Junior college, I live with my parents. My mother being the bleeding heart that most mothers are, couldn't bare to see the 3 golden Zebra Danios to die a horrible death so I was forced to rescue them after a few close calls on their lives. So they went to a tank upstairs out of harms way. I went to sleep at midnight last night and woke up at 7 to find one dead Danio. not bad, but i was still sleepy so i went back to bed. I woke up again at 10. When i did, I noticed there were now only 3 visible fish besides the 4 piranhas. No trace as to where the others go. I leave for an hour to goto McDonalds. In that time 3 fish are gone with only a piece of skin floating around to even hint at what had happened. Besides that i was keeping them well fed on blood worms, so I'm not sure why they are so hungry. Either way, the last fish standing was my pleco. Until they decided he needed to go and went after him and I was forced to save him and move him upstairs as well. I just have to say, damn, these fish are hungry.:WHOA:

29 gallons. Just stating that i didn't expect them to want to eat, but they instead ate the whole tank within the first day.

At least you have happy P's. Definitively get them a bigger tank though.

I was saying that jokingly, don't know if you took me serious or not... Yeah, definitely get them a bigger tank b/c they will eat a lot. I learned the hard way to not even bother to put stuff w/ piranhas b/c they will usually get ate...

I will as soon as I get to move out. Right now i'm limited to the 29, but I'll hopefully have a much larger tank when I move to SIU in the fall. Hopefully I won't have to part ways with any of them before then.
