So i've had a female alunocara ob for about a year now that i will have to say is the ugliest fish i own. I saw a nice looking male at a LFS about 2 months ago so i got it with hopes of breeding it with my female. Well luckily for me they hit it off instantly. A few weeks ago i noticed them doing their dance and a few days later boom! shehas a mouthfull of eggs. So i moved her into a 5gal tank of her own. Shes been in there for a couple of weeks and today i got to see her release them for the 1st time and it was AWESOME! To anyone who wants to breed any kind of fish i definatly recommend breeding african cichlids. It is a great sight to see her release the fry from her mouth and to take them back in when they want the security of their mother. It is truly an awesome feeling! So everyone out there go to your LFS and do it up!

Nice Now you are a parent of many little fry. Just make sure to condition your female after she spits beacuse they dont eat when they are holding
ill try to post some pics soon. they're kinda plain looking right now but hopefully there are some males so they wont all be ugly like the female.
