Hey guys, my Datnoid has an open sore on the right side of its body. It looks like a Super Duper big pimple. Previously, it was just like a bump on the side of the datnoid. After I added Myxazin for the 3rd day, the bump cracked and expose the so call pimple. Am i using the right medication or any kind soul can advise me accordingly. Please refer to the photos for reference.

Would suggest adding some salt, a teaspoon per gallon. Also finish the abx course. Would also suggest to dip the fish in methylene blue or you can swap the area with methylene blue on a Q-tip.

Update as it goes.

FunWow! FunWow! Has dealt with the Simmerly before. Looks like something like datnoid disease.

Thanks. I had already did salt bath together with Myxazin. Myxazin seems to work like methylene blue. Both for sores, bacteria infection, cloudy eyes and etc.

I actually guys dont agree with any kind of treatment. I think the best way is to use anti-Cl with aloe vera and aquarium salt. Its the best way for your fish and their immunity system

kno4te kno4te it looks like datnoid disease. I’d use salt, melafix and be doing a lot of big water changes every two days 40 - 60% and readd the salt and melafix. It’s going to take awhile to get it to heal if it’s not beyond the point of no return at least 2weeks. Is it still eating? If it heals up you’ll always have the chance of it happening again in the future if the conditions are right since it’s like herpes.

I used melafix and salt before I tried Myxazin. Apparently, melafix is not working. The big sore u guys saw was ruptured. There is another small one on the other side which is still intact and showing a small bump under the scale. With that being said, It is still eating as per normal.

Melafix and salt will work but when they bust open it’s Basically a exposed wound with nothing to protect it so now your basically gonna have to wait for the flesh to heal back together without it getting infected which melafix, salt and clean water will help. I’ve never tried the stuff your using so I can’t say how the outcome will be.

Wow....I'll concur with what has already been suggested. Also,I like to apply Bio Bandage on any substantial open wounds that my fish sustain just to help healing and ward off infection. It is made by the makers of Prazi Pro.
