Snagged my brothers Nikon D40x to see what I could do with it. My very first time using any DSLR, didn't really play with any of the functions though. Just pointed and shot. Some of them came out really nice!

I really like the flash shots on this camera.. I guess I will keep working with it to see if my photoskills get any better..

The flash shots remind me of bruce's photo's.. I think we have the same substrate? :headbang2

nice! i just got my D40 a few weeks ago too. my favorite is the pic in my avatar! my trick is to add an extra light on the tank, set ISO to 400, shoot in S mode and pic a shutter speed that allows you to take a good pic without flash. give it a try!

I was looking for shutter speed.. i couldnt find it..Where is that option at? I set the ISO Hi for those shots, they turned out okay..

I need more time with the camera but I already gave it back to my bro.

its easy, just set it on S mode and you adjust the shutter speed by turning the little dial/wheel on the back. i shoot from 1/30 to 1/125 shutter speed, depending on how close the fish is to the light. high ISO works ok, but if you add an extra light on the tank, you can decrease the ISO and get much higher quality pics. the higher the ISO, the "noisier" the pic, or more grainy

Nice pictures. Your second pic in your second post is my definate favorite!

I'll have to try it out, thanks for the tips!
