hi MFK's i just got back into the fish hobby again my last tank i had was a 55g with a red devil pair and i left the nest and left my tank with my mom and she bought a 30g or 40g (a nicer looking tank) and when i came back the female was no longer there and they and threw out my 55g. Now I'm coming back with a 5x2x2 i got from a restaurant they were used for lobsters and it has a built in divider i don't want to use a sump system and i wanted to know if i can get a way with using a canister filter. My plan is to buy some baby buttikoferi's so i can get a pair and my wife wants to keep red devils on the other side i want to know if that will workout. I never had a tank this big and i need all the advice i can get thanks MFK.

so you want to use canister filters on it?
if thats the case, then, absolutely, just get a couple large canister filters. 2 FX5's should suffice.
