Since everyone says that in our days now, companys are able to make food with more nutrition then anything live. So with that said why is it that everyone feeds there fry baby brine shrimp instead of products made for fry such as Hikari First Bites???

Since most of our fish are predatory, some of them just don't eat anything else than live when young!

thats a very generalized statement. plus, you can't expect one type of food to fit all types of fry

I have had no problem with first bites with my cichlids. Acutally they have no problem eating it.

I'll get some nutrition facts. I'm pretty sure bbs and cyclop-eeze beat first bites.

Now the question is, "Why arn't you using Cyclop-eeze." :D I personally use decapsulated brine shrimp. Its easy to use, has higher nutrition than standard baby brine shrimp, but is on the costly side.

How do you get a breeding population of Cyclop-eeze and how do you raise them?
