First Cichla

so i had an extra tank around and decided to use it as a growout. I decided it was as good a time as ever to keep my first peacock bass! I went to my lfs and the man assured me this was a very quality fish and i hope he wasn't lieing because it was exactly cheap. Could someone please ID the species for me and any additional information or tips would be awsome. Thanks

Limited experience but I would say orino. Make sure your temp is around 86 and fatten him up!!!!! Welcome to the addiction! B

He's an orino. And yes when there that young you should have the temp at about 86-88.

They are susceptible to ick at a small size, which high temps help to prevent.

cant get this guy to eat, not even feeders. looks skinny i know he must be hungry any advice PLEASE!

Give it a few days to settle in....just leave the feeders in there with it and maybe offer some frozen bloodworms after a few days.
