Its me again, after going back and forth on the issue I've decided to make our newest setup, the 60g wide a coldwater aquarium. The aquarium is cycled and i still have the remaining 12 common goldfish at 2-4 inches in the setup. I'm using some high powered filtration with daily %25 water changes. If i kept this up would my dozen commons have growing room for the next few months or should i go ahead and move them to the pond?

If I were you I'd get rid of them completely before it's too late, but anyway, to judge how your tank can cope with the immense bioload goldfish produce, we need exact specs on your filtration.
Whatever you do, don't put them in your pond or you'll regret it as much as I do. :D

Plants work well in rock if theres plugs of laterite or little areas with natural kitty litter covered by sand, I would put some hardy plants in and take out the bottle.
