I know they're convicts... but I'm still excited... it's this pair's first spawn and my first spawn in like 15 years 
are you planing on growing the fry out the separate them from the other tank or maybe a few will live.
I just split up my group from Spring and separated the Pinks from the Hets. so I can grow out the Pinks and see which one I want to keep. There were only 28 Pinks in the whole clutch apparentlyThe thread was posted in April, but personally I would leave them in with the parents and let nature take its course. Convicts breed so easily that will not be easy to even give the fry away to some lfs's.

nah, I just already have 1.2 normal, and I want a breeding pair or harem of Pinks so I don't have to keep using Het. X Het. Pretty sure the Pinks are easier to sellYeah if your selectively breeding them I totally would use your method of separationFrank Castle
