First Day of Field Herping!

I should say the first day of field tadpoling ;) Because that is just about all I caught. About 12 ABF tadpoles. Although we caught 2 small Newts too! I caught one on purpose and my friend caught one incidentally. I can't wait for the snakes, turtles, and frogs to come out! Pics in a bit

Theres not much good herping round me. I can get thousands of bull frog tadpoles, the occasional eastern box turtle, and copperheads but not much else. By the way, how messy are bullheads, I want to stock my 250 gallon pond with 1 and I have a 20 gallon trash can filter powered by a submersible pump.
 
They are pretty messy, I have them on pellets. but they don't always get them all or they eat em off the bottom.. but the I have to vac em out. they are awesome little guys though! I try to hand feed em sometimes but usually I scare em. Also I think mine are dwarved so I don't think they will need to go into my pond soon.
 
Thanks, Im using a bio filter so I think ill be ok with just one in a 250 gallon pond.
BTW-Have you kept any tadpoles to frog, I had some for a while but they ended up dying after a year or so.
