Hey, I am starting my first big tank. I am doing a DIY background and wet/dry, I have posted a longer thread here

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=262743

Not really sure if I should just do one there, or one here, or one both
But I thought I would start a thread here for just the background build.

I plan on useing 2" foam in layers to clear bulkheads on tank bottom. greatstuff and coathangers for the tree roots. And cover everything in a low lime concrete, hydraulic or resurfacing. I dont want to to pay for 1000 gallons of water to keep changing and changing if I can get around it.

I am wondering about useing screen in the back of the caves and along the top, or just leaving the tree hollw with the caves open in to it.

I also think i will put an airstone inside the tree to draw trash from the bottom up to the overflow.
