After reading loads of fantastic stand builds on here I thought i'd give it a go. During the summer my neighbor gave me some dressed 1.5x2.5" pine timber to burn on my stove in the garden but I never did as it was to good to burn & thought it would come in handy for something. A few weeks ago I was helping my mate to clear out his garage so he could get a racking system in for his tanks & gave me a few kitchen doors & an old pine shelving unit. Well as they say one thing leads to another so I have started building a double stand to hold my 36x12x15" tank on the top & a 18x12x12" tank lower down with a cuboard to one side for my external filter & a draw under the smaller tank to house all the fish food & meds. All of the joints have been glued & screwed together & there is no movment in the stand at all & the best bit is going to be the cost as it should work out costing around £10 to build:D I'll update as I go

Thanks CichlidJoe:D Well managed to spend a couple of hours on the stand to day & it's now starting to take shape at lasts2.jpg
I've still got some clading to add & sort out the inside of the cupboard, make the lower draw & plenty of sanding to do before I stain it

Things have been slow as i've not been well but i'm now at the point where I can start staining it. Once it's done i'll add some more pic's & again once the tanks are in placestand last prep 002.jpg

The stand is now finished & I have to say i'm pleased with how it's turned out so have taken a quick pic for you's & will put another one up once both tanks are in place & up & running0011.jpg
