i'd agree with tiddlywinks, btw this fish is in my fish rooms at the mo, the more its settling the more reds coming through, any idea how long the fading process lasts! ballsy little bugger too! will he have any flower marks when he is done fading?? as lungfishlover stated, 1st FH., cheers peeps

Lol. Good to see you (and "Mac") on here. I'm the guy he came from yesterday. He is defo a genuine fader. Here are a couple of pics of him on 14th August when I got him.

You can see how much of the black he's lost already in only 3-4 weeks. Especially around the mouth, where there is no black left.

And, yes, he is the feistiest fish I have ever known. He was willing to take on an 8" male midas and a 6" male GT in my 130 Gallon. SOunds like suicide, but he had the guts to pull it off.

BTW, is that "Norris" the nic in the background of picture 2 ?

nice to meet you hamfist! fancy meeting on here lol! the difference in colour is amazing. what was he feeding on? yes thats nic in background - theres a african blockhead in there too (had to seperate him as he was too boisterous with my dats) they will prob be seperated when the other tanks are up and running in a short while. kev said you had another flowerhorn if i remember rightly? are there pics on here?

wow! what a suprise!, nice to speak to you again! great to see pics of before, he's doing really well, very grateful for him!! he definitely likes to be noticed, i'm feeding him on prawn at the mo and his appetite is as you described!!! he's already getting alot more colorful, my cam doesn't do justice. thanks again! i noticed you had some sand/gravel fs too? might have to come grab that off you. i'll bring lungfishlover to see your collection and meet the big FH. BTW you never mentioned his name was noris haha, yes it is, hes also doing really well, he mac and the blockhead all have their own territory and are doing great!!:headbang2

He was eating everything. frozen, dried, everything. I never found any food he wouldn't eat, except for shelled pea, which he wasn't hugely keen on.

THere is an old pic of my big flowerhorn "buster" on here, but here is a more recent one, although he's filled out more even since this pic
