so for anyone who has seen any of my recent threads. im new to the sw trade, i have a 90g tank running right now, its been going for about 2 months with live rock in it, and about a month with inverts. i do believe that my tank will be ready and has been ready for its first fish, now im debateing about what to get because im not sure if i should start with damsels because there cheeper and if they die then i obveously need to change something in my tank, but i have heard that damsels can be aggresive to new fish entered in later, and i dont think i would be able to catch the damsels after i put them in. so i was thinking about skipping damsels and getting like a flame angel or a foxface, now i dont wanna spend 40-80 bucks and have the fish die on me, any one know of a less expensive fish that is hardy and will not pick at something i put in later. the tank is a total comunnity tank so it doesnt matter if my first fish stays in there for ever. any suggestions would be great

A flame angel should be the last fish added.

Damsels will be impossible to catch without removing all the LR, if they start to cause problems.

If you plan on having clowns, now is the time to add them. Clowns are very hardy fish, and if your tank is properly cycled at this point, you shouldnt have any issues.

well what kinda tank are going for...reef? FOWLR?

My first fish for my 90 was a clarkii I have had had him for around 6 years now.

Doesnt really matter I dont think. Most aggressive/biggest/eager feeders should be added last.

the best thing to do is avoid the damsel curse and put your most aggressive fish in last so your other fish can have time to adapt and get use to the tank otherwise you'll have a lot of aggression and stress in the tank. Just take your time and be patient.

add clowns or chromis. chromis are also good because they bring out shy fish

so chromis are peaceful? and if i was to get them should it be a group of like 5. im trying to read some articals on them and some people seem to think they should be kepts in small groups like 5 or bigger and ive read a couple articles of people saying they only keep 2 or 3 in a group. i have no problem having 5 of these guys, i kind of like the green chromis i just dont want there to be an issue then i have to tear out my LR just to catch them.
