what do i do? my cons have had there first brood of fry and they are just hatching, i have no clue what to do after they hatch. they laid them on monday and i noticed they are wriggling around in the cave, so i though i would get some info one taking care of the fry before it comes down to it!

can anyone tell me what i need to do?

c'mon, anyone?

hey cons are prolific breeders just leave the parents to em, if its the first brood by the parents there is a chance they want survive the first time... my cons failed there first time and did not protect the fry, right now they gave it another go and i have about 150 fry in one corner of the tank with every other fish in the tank staying away from the protective parents....
good luck!

get ready for about 5 other new tanks. these fish will breed, breed, and then breed some more. I would say they lay eggs like twice a month! You are going to need to find an outlet for all these babies!

well the parents are showing massive aggression, even to me on the outside of the tank. do i feed the fish like i normaly do?

feed like normal for now. once the fry start venturing out into the tank, then Id start with baby brine and crushed up flakes.

ok, and should i remove the other inhabitants? i have 1 high-fin tetra and 2 mystery tetras in with them. they are in a planted tank, so is there anything i need to do to make it fry friendly? i really would like to see these fry make it.
