Hi, one of the babies just died today. Any ideas as of why it died? There are no apparent scars on the outside. Internal pics are attached. Please advice thanks

That was really gross. I wish you'd put up some kind of warning before I checked this out during my morning tea.

So, what size was it?
How many other were in the tank?
What size tank?
How was it behaving when you aquired it?
Did it behave any different before it died?
Was it eating well?
What were your water parameters?

These are just some questions I'd ask before I'd request an autopsy. I hope it was just a fluke, and the rest of your babies grow to be strong and healthy.

Opps, sorry, thought death should had been a sufficient warning. If you ever be in this part of the world, give me a ring and i will bring you out for morning tea. :) They are in a grow out area in part of a pond. Water perimeters unknown however they should be ok. They are not the only fishes nor gars in the pond. What I mean is that being air breathers, gars should not be the first fish to die in there if the water should screw up, let alone gators. In the grow out area are 3 other gators, 1 Florida and 1 trops. Had them in there for more then a month now, waiting to be let in with the big boys. This gator is 13", already on market fish diet. He is not the smallest in the grow out. And he was growing quite well I must say. 8-13 in a month. I would like to bring the attention to the bubbles in the inside as seen in the pic and the brownish coloration beside it. It seems to me something happen to its guts, i dont know.... I would love to learn about what causes this inflamation of some sort. Thanks.
