first homemade sump

im about to take on the task of building a sump for a 100gal . this will be my 1st time building one i work at a lfs and i have spent alot of time looking at the sumps that run the store. all i know is i want a huge amount of bio..can someone with experience please give a few pointers on how big and wat design i should use. any info u have will help thanks.

You don't have to stick with the design that you commonly see in the store. Have a look around here and in the DIY section for sumps and wet/drys. They can be quite simple and very inexpensive to make.
