would a jardini show aggression if introduced at a very young age???

if those who dont understand, what i want to know if a jardini would show any sort of being aggressive later in its life if it was introduced at around 4-5 inches with its tankmates.

I got my Jar at 5" and no such luck. He was fine for like a week then all hell broke loose. You just have to be lucky I guess to get a peaceful one. Tho if you read the threads around here you'll see that's not likely. Read the sticky on Jar's and you'll see how many have peaceful Jar's and who has Killa Jar's. The Killa Jar is what you'll probably get so if your happy with one fish in a big tank then a Jar is for you if not you could try a Lei. It seems that Lei's are more likely to be peaceful though still not as docile as Silver's or Black's.

ya i read the sticky threads. i guess, jars are very beautiful and i would like to keep one but. I dont know i will try and see which one suits me the best

well i got my jardini when it was like 4" with some parrot fish as time went by it grew to 13-14" then when it comes to feeding time it show lots of aggresion. in times it will sort of chase my parrots or try to bit them when they passes by. if you want ot see pic of my old tank with the jar here it is..

My brother bought a jar at 2 inches and grew it out with pbass, synos, convicts, and some other fish until the jar was like 5-6 inches. He was very peaceful and he was not agressive at all. He was very docile and peaceful. But we sold him, because we were afraid that he would get bigger and more aggressive as he ages. I miss that jar.

I bought a jar at 4" and have it with 5 Cichla and various other Cichlids, catfisj etc.
And now he is about 7-8". All is well so far. As soupa2 said, he does get aggressive come feeding time. I hope it never gets ugly. He is one of my favorite fish. Good luck.
If he turns, you will know.

The jar will most likely show agression even when introduced early to a community. Lei's are a bit more tolerant of tankmates but they get way big and spook easily. My Jar is a killer, doesnt tolerate anything.
