I just brought home two new adorable little goldies, along with a banjo cat and a spotted raphael cat ( not to go in the same tank.)
The goldies are in a 10 gallon QT.
I did a dip with Seachem paragaurd and drip acclimated them. The Tank has an AC HOB and a zoomed 501 canister.
These are my first goldfish and they will be going into a 30g once out of QT, hopefully with a couple dojo loaches and then into a 55 when they outgrow the 30
Do i need to do anything else prophylactic while they are in QT? they came form petco, its been ages since I bought any livestock from them but the one goldie is a really pretty oranda (probably lol) with a yellow underbelly and a black saddle and the other is a bright orange fantail they both have nice healthy fins and no signs of scale problems.

nah, just QT them for at least 3~4wks and you should be fine. just a warning though, don't be suprised if the fish change colours, drastically. deathco isn't picky about genetics or special colour patterns, they just want fish that are cheap and lots of them so the goldfish can change patterns almost overnight as they age(i had one loose all black colouring and turn 100% red-orange in a day and another develop a completely black head in two days)

lol wow i never had or will have goldfish. there messy and idk but i h8 em? but they should be ok

they should be fine - you've done everything right so far. you might want to feed an antibacterial food for a week or so just to be sure, while they're in QT. you'll eventually want more filtration on the 30g - goldies are messy indeed, but since they're young you should be fine for now. they're high-ammonia fish, so keep up with the water changes.
the oranda will probably lose the black saddle- unless it's a calico or black moor, black is highly unstable in young fish.
good job so far! we'd love to see photos :)

Here is the little yellow with black saddle, he is the more outgoing and friendly of the two, but both seem to be doing quite well.

SO is a AC70 and a zoomed 501 canister not enough filtration, they are going to be with 4 peppered cories and three scwartzi cories, since both are cooler water cories and wont nip or harass the goldies.

Don't do the loaches. The fins maybe to much temtation for them not to nip.
