first lmb of the season

i went fishing for the first time this season four days ago and i caught my first lmb of the season. i caught it in a cool little pond, it was 8" long. I also caught a bunch of baby bluegill with a net and now i'm keeping them in my native tank.

Cool, it is just starting to get warm enough here. Unfortunately, the wife just had surgery and I won't be going anytime soon. I am jealous.

I was hoping to try after work one day this week, but it started snowing again this morning! There is a nice farm pond (2 or 3 acres) between my work and home that I haven't tried yet this year. Soon...
