My local walmart which has fish and is remodeling...they brought in new fish tanks and took the old ones down and they set up a brand new 55gal with a new stand to put all the fish in during the tank change out (the fish were in it for 1 day) after they got the new tanks set up they moved the fish to the new tanks and put this entire setup for 100$ (2 hob filters heater led lights hood tank stand) so I bought it and I want to have a mbuna tank. I have ordered 75lb Texas Holey rock and am aware that mbuna needs to be overstocked and high filtration. So what would you recommend for filtration? It must be very quiet. Because this is right beside me in my office. (Which I'm on the phone all day with customers) also stocking ideas would be nice also. Sorry for the long ramble.

Also forgot to mention I will be using pfs as the substrate

I know you already ordered a canister but any canister would've been pretty quiet. My xp3 and 306 and pretty quiet.

thank you thank you! I ran into a new problem. Ordered texas holey rock off of ebay, 75lb. for 159$ and just received it, biggest piece is broken in half and the quality of the rock isn't that good. This is definitely a set back for me.

Document the damage and poor quality. Had that happen to me one time with a piece of drift wood and the shipping company paid me for the damage.

If it truly is poor quality then talk to the seller about refunding. Usually they will require that you pay the return shipping, which makes it not worth it, but I have sometimes had them say just keep it and then they refund all or at least some of my money in an attempt to get a good review.
