I just got this little guy. Maybe 3"? Dropped some tilapia fillet and the gar pounded it! I think this is a future monster!

Yeah, for sure. Supper good feeding response. Should be easy and cheep to grow out :) I will keep this thread open and updated for growth information. Currently in a 20 long, I'm setting up a 110 for it's mid growth and then it will move into my 450 with my 2 foot Tropical gar and friends :)
 
Wow! I bet this Cuban Gar will fit nicely in your tank! :D My Black Aro is almost big as yours!(length wise) :)
