After reading about them and being very interested in them, I decided to give them ago. But not before reading the very long, yet informative sticky by blondie, I decided to pick up my first two polys. Just common senegals, but my favorite looking ones among the many. Nothing against the others I just prefer the plain look to them. I don't fancy the spots/lines of the others. But I digress, the reason for my posting was to ask if their pectoral fins grow back? I purchased two of them and they are about 3 inches in length ( in the 10g quarantine for now then off to a 60), but I now noticed that one of them is missing some of his pectoral fin. Its not down to the base, the harder tissue, but the ends that surround that tissue, the clear looking fins. I know for the most part they have healed on all my other fish/cichlids but wondering if it was different for these guys. Thanks in advance . . .
I have looked over tons of threads with these guys. and have noticed a lot of members keep them with cichlids, is it a hit and miss as far as compatibility goes with these guys? Or should I just house them in a 60 with some other type of fish? Suggestions?
