Just wanted to say hello to all fellow monster fish nuts out there. I live in Iowa and I think I have a new favorite site on the web.
I currently had to downsize to just one 120 gallon tank because my first baby girl will be born any day and I also am heading back to school. However I have been reading all of the great threads on building big tanks and I am definitely going to be building a huge tank in the next few years.
I currently have all cichlids and plecos in the 120 (basic oscar, GT, Jag, BB, JD) but have discovered the old simple guys are also some of my favorites.
My true love in the hobby are Amazon giants. I have kept RTC, tigs, and jurense in the past. I also have kept Motoros and arrows. I want to build a big enough tank to safely house a RTC, silver arrow, some P bass, and possibly another tig. When the project gets underway I will keep detailed photos of my progress and I am sure I will be picking the brains of some on this site.
