I just bought this awesome tank from my buddy and with it came a Rainbow Ameiva free of charge (sarcasm). Already having a 10 gallon firebelly terrarium I wanted to put the frogs in with the Ameiva so I turned the new big desert tank into a terrarium with half water a quarter desert and a quarter substrate with ferns and ivy. My question is this, according to all the sites I've read the lizard needs a water dish but he has a filtered private drinking pond at his front doorstep so I'd assume it would be more like the his natural setting and he would drink but I'm just making sure. Seeing if anyone has had a terrarium with an Ameiva or any other lizard and not needed a water dish in addition to the filtered water. Sorry if this was long winded, I'm going a little
