So I've been keeping fresh water for about 17 years and I figure its time for me to branch out and give salt a shot. I have a tall 30 gallon that I am going to use to make the plunge. I have a few quick questions for all of you salt guru's out there.

1. I want to keep my stock levels low for a while. Do you folks have any suggested species for a tank this size? What kind of cleanup crew? Suggested Inverts?

2. Is 15 to 20 pounds of liverock plenty?

3. Any suggestions on how to keep my liverock healthy?

Thanks in advance

Live Rock in it self, will stay healthy on its own.

http://liveaquaria.com/product/aquarium-fish-supplies.cfm?c=15 is a good website for pics of fish and info about the fish, I.E. tank size. Its a great source for New salt keepers and from time to time, ill even take a look and see whats new on the divers den page.

a good clean up crew IMO would consist of an emerald crap(to keep hair algae at a minimum) and hermits to help keep your sand clean. Another addition that i add to my crew is a yellow coris wrasse. Stay around 4" max and do great work at cleaning my rock and sand. Snails are good to mix as well and they help with algea. Im not the biggest fan of them but they help and little is better then none.
