hey im setting up a 20 gallon saltwater tank and was wondering what is a good starting choice for fish and coral, any other hellpful ideas are appreciated

So you thinking about a reef tank? Pretty sur since you said corals lol
Well for fish you can go for:
-damsels (Can be aggressive at times...most times)
-chromis
-fire fish
-clownfish (Even if thier damsels)
-fairy wrasse
-six line wrasse
-Shrimp Gobies
-Diamond Goby
....thier is a variety of fish just how many fish you can keep in the tank is another question...all about bio load
For Corals it is best for you to tell us what kind of fixture, how many watts will be used. Also is this the standard 20 gallon size with the height of 12 inches?
