i have a spare 40 gallon and dont want anymore fish so id like to turn it into a sump for m 55. what would be the best way to do it? is it hard or complicated to drill tanks? about how much would it take to set it up? where would i get the items needed? how long would the 55 have to be empty to drill if i did go that route or are those overflow boxes worth it? i read that with those the flow could be hard to start

the 55 is stocked with one flowerhorn, pleco and 4 danios

Drilling is much simpler than it appears, google MFK member uarujoeys how to video.
You just need a good diamond drill bit, I got mine from jehmco.
Drill slowly and use plenty of cooling water.
I have drilled tanks dry, and half full.

I like mine drilled on a side near the top, so I can run PVC near the waters surface.

You can buy kits from www.gl*******s.com that include the drill, bulkhead and an overflow box plus lots of othrr stuff related to the project.

have you ever bought from them? i looked at their kits and they are nice but in one pic there was candy wrapper in with the pic of the kit and another picture was a diagram of the teeth in the human mouth. makes me question it but i have to say that candy would be nice little bonus

Think they give you a mint or something with your purchase, many people have bought from them here and on salt water forums.
