Hi forum

I have read that ideally you buy guppy's in groups of 6 or 8 at a time, does anyone know if i could buy 8 different guppy's, ie 1 Tuxedo, 1 Cobra, 1 Mosaic ect..

Thanks in advance

Beelz

ps - sorry if in the wrong forum, didnt really fit in any of em :)

Different coloured guppies get along fine and it can become really interesting when they start to breed.

agreed. lots of different colors and patterns start to show up.
and as for buying them at the same time, I actually prefer getting 1 or 2 from one store, a few from another just to try to widen out the gene pool some. not that it will matter much if you're buying different types.

I'll try and find some pics of mine, but I just tossed 5 random guppies in a 2.5 gal and let them breed, 2 females and 3 males. I fed my original adults to my garter snake and now have my favorite 5 from their breedings and some look really cool
