Came downstairs to feed all the fish before I went to bed and I see 50 or so fry free swimming in my 130. Theres 4 midas in there, 3 red devils from random LFS's (who knows if they're pure or not,) 2 mayans, and a hybrid. These two have been holding down the penn plax shipwreck for quite sometime and I look for eggs all the time but can never find them. My male red devil has spawned with a midas before but the filter was off for a day and kicked back on and killed mom and the eggs. This time a different female, different tank, and now I've got 50 fry.

couldn't really get any pics of the free swimming fry but check out the breeding dress on my female, probably the coolest pattern I've ever seen on a fish.

Nice rd/midas. What's the 1st one mixed with? It looks very nice with those bars.

I don't know its probably a midasXred devil hybrid considering the store I got it from. I bought it as a red devil but it looks more midas to me. It usually doesn't have those bars, it must be part of her breeding dress, I've never seen anything like it, but I wish she always looked like that it's amazing.

Dont let the fry get out of your tanks! this hobby is already cluttered whith too many hybrids!!!

Holy crap...Is it going to get really hostile in there?

they were both bought as "red devils" from pet supplies plus, thats what they're going back to the store as.
