yup convicts, i knew i had a pair, and then along the corner of my 29 growout they started going up and down....idk what they were doing because i'd think for sure they'd lay them in the flowerpot or in the hole they just made under some driftwood...but they layed up right in the corner of the aquarium on the silicon. i'm pretty sure these ones are going to get eaten as there is still my leopard ctenopoma, bellycrawler, my senegal and a few other fish in there.

still i'm pretty happy, might try and pull a few of them out and raise them in a 10 gallon....not sure if i can do that or not though

My convicts constantly guard the fry, so theres still quite a few survivors, so im guessing you will probably have the same result.
Also you should be allright pulling a few out, I did and they seem to be doing fine on powder flake.
Either way congrats, it's exciting seeing baby fish IMO, reguardless if they breed easy or not.

thanks. i think i might use my 55 to breed something a little more challenging (but not by much) once i get a larger tank to move the current residents to. its really a good feeling to know you made your fish happy lol

I enjoy the look of my convicts hearding around 300 small fry, but they cause too much aggression. So I squish the eggs before they hatch.

these are going to be feeders lol

right now they are pretty aggressive but i have to say my female krib is much more aggressive then either of them, and neither one of the convicts can take the bellycrawler (they try though)
