My discus are mature and my first two paired off. They were cleaning off my filter intake to lay eggs, so I moved them into a 20 gallon breeding tank last night. They are still a little scared by the whole thing. What can I do to make them more comfortable faster? Any ideas?

I have couple pairs in main tanks and they keep spawnning very weeks. I will set up breeding tanks for them soon. So i am not an expert, just my experience try to cover back, bottom and both sides. Dim the light and raise temp a little bit. Hope it helps.

can't wait to see them, please post pics when you have a chance.

You can cover the back and sides of the tank to make them feel more secure............

Light a candle next to the tank and dump in some vodka. I always like to cover all sides of the tank when moving discus to breeder tanks. I make sure to have a place for them to hide as well. Very subdued lighting to

I hope you placed the tank in an out of the way place. Try to eleminate as much outside movement or sudden movement as possible. At least til they get used to the new place.
