So it looks like my tank is infected with ich, I can see some white specks on my Green Terror and several of my other fish have been scratching on rocks. This is the first time in 10 years of fish keeping that I've had an ich infection, so I've got a few questions.

First info on the tank and it's inhabitants. It's a 125 gal. I've got the Cascade 1000 and a Magnum HOT 250 (keeping this one off during treatment) Fish are a mix of Cichlids (peacocks, Frontosa, jack dempsey, polleni, jewel, texas and 2 plecos) they vary in size from 2.5" to 7"
I tested the water before I started everything (week and a half since last water change) PH between 7.8-8.0, Ammonia was between .25-.50 ppm with a tank temp of 80 degrees.

I just did a 40% water change and am about to clean out my canister (Penn Plax Cascade 1000) and dose the tank with Rid Ich+. What media should I remove from my Cascade? I was going to remove all the bio and chemical media and just leave the mech. Should I also rinse all the filter pads before I start the treatment, or don't even bother?

My plan is to do a 25% water change and dose with RidIch+ for the next 7-10 days. I will also raise the temp to 85, and reduce their feedings to once a day from 2-3.

I think that about covers it, if there's anything else I should know please speak up. Thanks!

with the plecos only do half dose, ich treatment will burn fish with no scales.
pleco's have bullet proof skin.

That's why I went with the RidIch+, it's already half dose compared to most (or so I read)

Thanks for the fast replies btw!
