YEah so I just bought 4 bags of pool filter sand for the 125g I just had a couple questions...what is the best way to clean it first? I bought like an 18 gallon half bucket, like somehting you would put beer cans in at a party or w.e. I was jsut oging to put it in bag by bag and just rinse it with water. Also after rinsing should I put it in the tank and let it dry, or immediately fill it up as its still wet? Lastly How long will it take the sand to settle? thankssss

Just wash it in the bucket, poor out the water and repeat until there is no color in the rinse water.. Poor straight in the tank with or without water it makes no diefference. How well you wash the sand is what makes the difference.
