Good day MFK, this is my first time to post i think and my first time to take care of wolf fish. This was sold to me as hoplias malabaricus just want to confirm if its a mala. He’s around 4”, diet live and off live, MP, chicken heart and platies. A0E0E576-0816-4C8D-B91D-B33924D57A23.jpeg 7AA35ED2-F544-4BAF-85F4-FC93D314431F.jpeg Thanks!

Yes. Looks like a typical malabaricus.

Thanks! Quick question, should i feed him twice a day?
I would feed daily. Also make sure after eating the fishes belly isn’t still big and has gone down.

Yea rule of thumb is to just feed when the bump in his belly goes down

Looks good! I'd slow down or eliminate chicken all together. While in wild I assume hoplias grab rodents and birds from time to time. I would assume it is not great on their digestive track.

Yes would agree with dovii kid. Didn’t see that part lol. Switch to a pellet which it should be able to readily. Much healthier and safer in the long run.
